At The Changemaker Project, we equip young people with the tools and skills they need to create a better world.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Explore social + environmental topics with other changemakers from around the world
Form a team of 2-5 students (age 13-24) and choose a problem to tackle
Utilize Stanford's empathy-based Design Thinking process to develop and implement a unique solution, with the support of your mentor
Submit your project for a chance to win seed funding at Global Pitch!
2020-2021 Theme: Racial justice
In partnership with The Pollination Project, we were able to fund ten youth-led racial justice projects this summer through our BLM Mini Grants program.
Our grantees created murals, poetry contests, Black fiction book directories, and police brutality hotlines. They led campaigns to get cops out of schools, include more anti-racist texts in school curricula, and train young leaders on diversity, inclusion, cultural competency.
In February, we hosted a Racial Justice Youth Panel, bringing together young leaders in the Black Lives Matter movement to share their powerful stories of activism.
At Global Pitch 2021, we'll award a special prize to a team that effectively tackles the issue of racial justice through their project.

WORDS FROM OUR CHANGEMAKERS
"The Changemaker Project transferred me into a new person who is even more passionate about issues regarding the world. It made me a better team-player and I enjoyed the process a lot. The people who I was working with became my friends and I am looking forward to participating in this project every year until I become 24 years old!"
